We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Construction Manager to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position in the Engineering industry, requiring expertise in a wide range of skills. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction projects, from planning to implementation. They will also be in charge of coordinating and directing contractors, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with project specifications, regulatory standards, and safety protocols. Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, managing blueprints, submittals, and change orders effectively.
2. Ensure all construction activities comply with OSHA30 safety standards.
3. Handle contract negotiations with vendors, contractors and owner groups.
4. Coordinate with municipalities and schools for necessary permits and approvals.
5. Manage upgrades, tenant improvements, and renovations, ensuring quality and adherence to timelines.
6. Oversee installation and maintenance of lighting, water heaters, pumps, boilers, solar panels, and EV charging stations.
7. Maintain strict control over project costs, managing financial costs through invoicing and cost control measures.
8. Use software tools such as Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Pantera, and Procore for effective project management.
9. Coordinate with MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) teams for integrated project execution.
10. Implement change management strategies to accommodate project modifications.
11. Oversee restoration works and manage any challenges that arise during the construction phase.
12. Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard, meeting all regulatory and safety requirements.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior construction management role, preferably within the Engineering industry.
3. Proven experience in contract negotiations, working with municipalities and schools, and dealing with owner groups.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction processes, including upgrades, tenant improvements, change orders, and cost control.
5. Demonstrable experience with lighting, water heaters, pumps, boilers, solar panels, and EV charging stations.
6. Proficiency in using Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, Pantera, and Procore.
7. Solid understanding of MEP systems.
8. Strong knowledge of OSHA30 safety standards and regulations.
9. Experience in change management, restoration, and renovation projects.
10. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
11. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
12. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
