Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., is a growing, multi-disciplined consulting firm of professional engineers, environmental professionals, and planners with a talent pool of more than 300 employees that have been meeting the needs of municipal, industrial and institutional clients across the northeast and mid-Atlantic states for more than 60 years. We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated candidate to help assist in our growth in the mid-Atlantic states. This is a full-time position that can be aligned with any of our mid-Atlantic offices (Pittsburgh, State College, & Camp Hill, PA and Annapolis & Baltimore, Maryland).
Responsibilities:
Duties primarily include engineering related to civil/site design with a preferred emphasis on transportation projects. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
· Project oversight and delivery, preparation/review of plans and specifications, and client communications.
· Project coordination with technical quality control and oversight involving most if not all the types of tasks listed below:
- Providing conceptual input on the development of design projects.
- Preparation of design plans, calculations, details and public bidding documents.
- Providing quality control reviews of design.
- Proficient in technical writing.
Requirements:
· A Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with 8-12 years consulting experience in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Maryland and/or Pennsylvania.
· Experience delivering civil/site design (on transportation related projects preferred) with county and state government agencies in Maryland and/or Pennsylvania.
· Experience on bridge projects a plus.
