WORK LOCATION: This position allows for a hybrid work schedule with a mix of work spent on site and working remote from home.
This is a mid-level design engineering position that offers a variety of challenging opportunities in Civil Engineering and will provide an excellent opportunity for career advancement.
- Lead civil design engineering efforts on multi-disciplined project design team
- Produce design drawings, civil analysis and calculations, procurement specifications and construction specifications (civil sections)
- Attend project meetings and perform field walkdowns
- Mentor junior engineers
Qualifications
Must be a U.S. Citizen; Dual citizenship with a country other than the U.S. does not qualify.
Essential skills and experience:
- BSCE from an ABET Engineering Accreditation Commission-approved program
- PE License, or ability to obtain one (preference for having a PE license)
- Specific experience in drainage, grading/site preparation, stormwater prevention planning and retention, geotechnical characterization, and foundation design
- Five or more years of working in a project team environment in the design of industrial design projects or power plant experience
- Must be able to obtain US Government security clearance
- Experience working with and/or at Department of Energy sites and facilities
- Experience in preparing design drawings, engineering analyses and calculations, and construction, fabrication and procurement specifications
- Requires periodic travel to Albuquerque and project locations for client meetings, walk-downs and presentations; amount of travel will vary depending on individual projects, but will likely averages of 3-5 days per month
