About the Job
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience with computer architecture concepts, including microarchitecture, and CPU design.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, with an emphasis on computer architecture, or a related field.
- Experience in CPU microarchitecture innovation.
- Experience in performance modeling, performance analysis, and workload characterization.
- Experience with ARM architecture including all its extensions such as SME.
- Experience in Android system software components, AI/ML.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$314,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Responsibilities
- Lead microarchitecture exploration team to define CPU microarchitecture that aligns with the Google CPU business goals.
- Work with the performance team to define performance analysis tasks and priority to evaluate the microarchitecture concepts.
- Collaborate with design teams in PPA (Performance, Power, Area) tradeoff analysis for new microarchitecture features.
- Communicate ideas and performance/PPA results in both qualitative and quantitative fashion to support the decisions.
- Guide junior micro-architects to develop and assess innovative CPU microarchitecture ideas.
