As an AEI Senior Business Systems Analyst in AbbVie Business Technology Solutions (BTS), you will have opportunities to lead and contribute to projects that impact patients and their communities for the better.
The AbbVie Endocrinology, Inc. (AEI) Strategy & Insights team is working to transform AEI into an agile, data-driven organization. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this team in leading the delivery of mid to large-scale, functional, and cross-functional initiatives designed to uncover business insights, helping improve efficiency, and decision making. The AEI Senior Business Systems Analyst will be leaned upon as a domain expert to support and deliver multiple reporting solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proponent for innovation, best practices, solution design with data & information optimization in mind, and efficient team/project structures. The individual will be responsible for advancing our reporting platform to deliver improved insights as well as data governance across AEI and its partner stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- Perform duties as a Business Systems Analyst in the implementation reporting solutions to measure business performance.
- Gather, analyze, evaluate, and document business requirements, consult with personnel from various teams/ vendor partners and identifies area for the development of technical solutions to automate and/or improve business processes.
- Responsible for delivering precise user stories and functional specifications to include process workflows, business rules, and source to target data mapping to the project team.
- Works directly with business clients to understand specific business processes and opportunities for improvement; identifies IT capabilities and information required to support the business processes.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, track risk items to closure, and ensure on time delivery of project milestones.
- Document and translate business requirements into technical requirements to be used by development team members.
- Assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) that includes test strategy and script design along with execution and facilitation. Identify and prepare test data and manage data exchanges between partners. Conduct presentations for End Users on the proposed technical solutions per the Business requirements.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining Software Life Cycle documents (SLC). Responsible for creation, analysis and tracking defects, enhancements, and configuration changes to closure in the Service Now platform adhering to Standard Operating Procedure(s) of the organization.
- Ability to guide Jr resources as a part of the project team to ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
Tools and skills you will use in this role:
- The ability to develop and prepare use cases/ user stories, functional specifications, and mapping documents for reporting solutions.
- The ability to analyze requirements, gaps, and processes, and then provide technical solutions.
- The ability to clearly articulate complex ideas through both written and verbal communication
- The ability to effectively lead and facilitate meetings with customers and technical team members.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build trust, listen, and ask effective questions.
- The ability to function effectively in an environment with multiple and fluctuating priorities.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in analytics and systems development or Master’s degree in Information Systems or related field and at least 4 years.
- Adept in Agile framework and scrum/Kanban methodologies. Experience using Jira.
- Proficiency with SQL and database management
- Proven analytical abilities.
- Experience in generating process documentation and reports.
- Excellent communication skills, with an ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Understanding of impacting, emerging and vendor trends in the BI / DW / Analytics space.
- Interacts well with diverse groups within function and maintains strong working relationships with internal and external collaborators and stakeholders,
Beneficial:
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Lifesciences and healthcare analytics background strongly preferred.
- Experience with reporting platforms such as Qlik sense and Power BI.

The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.
