Senior Business Systems Analyst – HR Technology (Talent Domain)
Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our HR Technology team, focusing on the Talent domain. In this role, you will partner with stakeholders to uncover insights, identify opportunities, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, and Learning & Development experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who is a self-starter that thrives on understanding customer needs, loves tackling tough problems, and has a relentless drive to make a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer-Centric Problem Solving
Collaborate with customers (HR, business leaders, and end-users) to deeply understand their challenges, goals, and unmet needs.
Approach problems with curiosity, ask insightful questions and uncover root causes behind customer pain points.
Translate customer needs into actionable insights, requirements, and system enhancements.
Advocate for your customers, ensuring solutions align with their expectations and deliver value.
Business Analysis & Innovation
Partner with Experience Managers and Business Owners to analyse current Talent lifecycle processes, identify inefficiencies, and propose creative solutions to optimize Talent workflows.
Lead brainstorming sessions and design-thinking workshops to co-create solutions with stakeholders.
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in HR and Talent systems to bring fresh ideas to the table.
Challenge the status quo and inspire change by proposing bold, forward-thinking solutions.
System Implementation & Optimization
Act as the functional expert for Talent technologies, including Sourcing, ATS, LMS/LXP, Performance Management, and other Talent tools.
Partner with technical teams to design, configure, and implement system enhancements or new tools.
Manage end-to-end solution deliverables, including gathering requirements, documenting user stories, testing solutions, and ensuring successful rollouts.
Continuously monitor system performance, adoption, and user feedback to drive improvements.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders across HR, IT, and external vendors.
Serve as a bridge between technical teams and business users, ensuring clear communication and alignment.
Facilitate workshops, demos, and training sessions to engage stakeholders and encourage adoption.
Proactively communicate Talent technology updates, risks, and recommendations to ensure transparency and alignment. Act as thought leader to provide subject matter expertise and guidance to stakeholders.
Data-Driven Insights
Work closely with Workforce Insights teams to design and deliver meaningful reports and dashboards.
Use data to uncover opportunities for improvement, measure the success of initiatives, and inform future decisions.
Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with security and privacy standards.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
7+ years of experience in business systems analysis, with a focus on HR technology and the Talent domain.
Proven track record of solving customer problems and delivering impactful solutions.
Core Competencies
Understand complex process and technologies to effectively prioritize and drive improved business outcomes (KPIs, OKRs)
A strong grasp of how various technologies (e.g. SaaS platforms, databases, integrations, automation tools, analytics solutions) work and their capabilities.
Hands on technical experience in one or more of the following areas: HRIS, Learning, Applicant tracking, Sourcing, etc. (ie. Workday, Sumtotal, HiredScore, ServiceNow or similar platforms.)
The ability to evaluate technical solutions for feasibility and scalability, provide input on designs, and assess their alignment with business goals.
Facilitate design workshops with deep knowledge of customer processes and pain points in order to effectively prioritize and solve for incremental improvements.
Act as a translator between technical teams (developers, engineers, architects) and business stakeholders.
Ensure that requirements are well-documented, clearly articulated, and actionable for technical teams.
Advise business leaders on the potential benefits, limitations, and risks of technology implementations.
Align technology solutions with organizational strategy.
Identify gaps in current systems or processes and recommending technology-based improvements.
Guide technical implementations through technical delivery lead or oversight roles.
