About the Job
Responsibilities: • Act as the intermediary between the business and IT, using a deep understanding of business processes and technology to help business partners achieve their desired outcomes. • Work with business partners to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs. • Understand the customer journey and define user requirements. • Identify unarticulated business needs and coordinate between stakeholder groups to address them. • Provide consultative support on business-led technology initiatives. • Work with technical team in creating prototypes and codesigning innovative solutions. • Elicit, analyze, specify, and validate the business needs of stakeholders. • Collaborate with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision. • Conduct interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods. • Identify and establish scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics. • Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements. • Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing requirements-gathering processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes. • Analyze and verify requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. • Develop and utilize standard templates to write requirements specifications accurately and concisely. • Translate conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements and non-functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team. • Create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team. • Develop and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted. • Manage and track the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; enforce and redefine as necessary. • Assist in defining and executing test cases. • Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications of business requirements — verbally or through written documentation — to project managers, sponsors, and other stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood. • Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure solution features and functionality are captured and reflected in the requirements documentation. • Review and provide feedback on project deliverables to ensure requirements are complete and meet quality standards. • Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members.
