Are you an experienced bookkeeper ready for your next challenge? Our client in U City is looking for a Lead Bookkeeper to join their team on-site on a temp to hire basis. This position is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, serving as the office liaison, and ensuring full compliance with all regulatory requirements. Your role will be vital in supporting daily accounting operations and sustaining the financial stability of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Record and categorize daily financial transactions using CMiC or similar systems.
- Oversee the accounts payable/receivable team to maintain smooth office operations.
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements for accuracy.
- Assist in payroll preparation.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and contribute to management reports, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support tax filings and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Aid in external audits and uphold accounting standards.
- Serve as the office liaison, handling questions and troubleshooting as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of accounting experience, particularly with general ledger management.
- Proficiency in accounting software (CMiC preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excel knowledge required - Pivot tables and VLookups
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
