Salary: $75,000 - $90,000 per year

Job Details
~ A DAY IN YOUR ROLE ~
MUST HAVE HOA FINANCIAL STATEMENT REPORTING AND AUDIT EXPERIENCE
· Accurately record transactions and journal entries for a portfolio of HOA accounts
· Generate financial report packages monthly
· Support the property management team by supplying information as requested
· Oversee all aspects of accounting for the assigned properties
· Mentor an accounting assistant, delegating work as necessary
· Review and approve accounts payable for assigned properties
· Process recurring payables, such as mortgages, owner distributions, property taxes, insurance, management fees, and other miscellaneous items
· Generate and review financial reports, as well as other ad-hoc reports
· Reconcile bank and balance sheet accounts for assigned properties. Monitor bank balances and request owner contributions as necessary.
· Perform year-end adjustments as necessary, often in collaboration with ownership’s tax accountants
· Process new lease entry, renewals, move-outs, or other changes via tenant input sheet
· Set up newly acquired properties in MRI, utilizing closing statements and other relevant information
· Frequently generate wire transfers and ACH payments for various transactions
· Record recurring journal entries
· Attend owners’ meetings to assist with accounting questions on an as-needed basis
· Work with property managers on CAM reconciliations and updated CAM impounds
· Create budgets annually in collaboration with the property managers
· Provide input on processes and improvement
~ WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM ~
· Bachelor's (preferred) or Associate’s degree in Accounting
· 4+ years of property accounting experience (HOA'S)
· Computer and software proficiency, specifically in MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
· 10-key data entry and typing (40+ WPM)
· Team player attitude with an open mind
· Ability to work with speed and accuracy while multitasking
· Excellent communication skills
