The Role:Research and Development (R&D) Tax Senior Associates work across a wide range of clients and industries. Senior Associates must possess strong technical knowledge and project management skills to manage R&D Tax Credit and Section 174 engagements.
Senior Associates can expect to:
- Participate in the day-to-day responsibilities on R&D Tax Credit and Sec. 174 engagements, including assisting with technical interviews with subject matter experts, preparing calculations, and preparing deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and training to team members.
- Prepare proposals for both prospective and current clients.
- Communicate with clients, manage multiple project deadlines, and remain current on legislative changes.
- Receive formal training, on the job training, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.
- 2+ years of experience managing R&D Tax Credit and Section 174 analyses;
- Bachelor’s and/or relevant advanced degree (MAcc, MST, JD);
- Accounting, Engineering, or related degree (Preferred)
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Advanced credential allowing for IRS client representation (i.e. CPA, JD) preferred;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong working knowledge of Excel;
- Working knowledge of accounting methods, including UNICAP is a plus
