An established law firm is seeking a Senior Associate to join its highly regarded Construction Law Practice Group in Boston. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of substantial experience in construction law, with a particular focus on large-scale litigation and arbitration. This role supports a nationally recognized Construction Law Practice Group, known for its skill in handling high-stakes litigation and arbitration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to project owners, developers, contractors, and design professionals throughout the entire lifecycle of construction projects.
- Manage contract formation and negotiations, offer project counseling, conduct pre-suit investigations, and develop/defend potential claims.
- Lead the adjudication of disputes in various forums, including mediation, Dispute Resolution Boards (DRBs), arbitration (domestic and international), and state/federal courts.
- Contribute to a dynamic practice offering opportunities for significant case management and direct client interaction, with a focus on large, high-profile projects such as offshore wind, power/energy, infrastructure, and commercial developments.
Qualifications:
- Active bar membership in Massachusetts (additional bar memberships in Connecticut, New York, or Rhode Island are preferred).
- Extensive experience in construction law, particularly with complex, large-scale projects.
- Exceptional analytical, writing, and communication skills.
- Must be a proactive, self-starter with the ability to add immediate value to the team.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
