JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Analyst Manager will drive data analysis and business insights for The Plant Company, supporting the Sales, Finance, IT, and Production departments. The ideal candidate will focus on optimizing sales performance, financial metrics, operational efficiency, and IT integration, ensuring TPC meets its strategic goals. This role involves analyzing sales trends and performance data, managing IT-related implementations, and supporting detailed production planning.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Data Analysis & Business Insights
- Lead the collection, analysis, and interpretation of large datasets to provide actionable insights supporting sales, production, and IT initiatives.
- Responsible for sales analysis for Home Depot
- Develop comprehensive sales reports, including Item Performance Reports, and provide insights into national account performance.
- Utilize advanced Excel, Power BI, and CRM Analysis to visualize and report on sales, financial, and operational data.
ERP & IT Integrations
- Act as the ERP Key Person, overseeing ERP data integration for enhanced sales, production, and financial alignment.
- Coordinate EDI Implementations to streamline electronic transactions and improve communication with key accounts.
- Collaborate with the IT department on system enhancements and data integrity to support overall business operations.
Production Forecasting & Sales Alignment
- Manage Detailed Production Forecasts, ensuring alignment between sales forecasts and production capabilities.
- Convert Sales Forecasts into Products by working closely with production & scheduling teams to optimize supply for customer demands.
- Develop and execute processes to align production planning with sales objectives.
Operational Efficiency & Project Management
- Oversee large-scale projects, including the Online Ordering IGC Developer/Implementation, which aims to enhance the ordering experience for Independent Garden Centers (IGCs).
- Manage initiatives to improve operational efficiency and ensure seamless alignment between sales and production.
Sales Strategy Development & Support
- Collaborate with sales leaders to develop and execute sales strategies, optimize performance, and identify growth opportunities.
- Analyze customer and market data to drive strategic decision-making for sales initiatives and business expansion.
Financial Forecasting & Reporting
- Develop financial models to forecast sales trends, expenses, and profitability, assisting leadership with strategic decisions.
- Provide regular sales reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including revenue growth, profitability, and sales effectiveness for internal and external stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, IT, and Operations, to identify areas for improvement and drive overall growth.
- Work with the Home Depot Account Manager and Category Manager to ensure successful Home Depot relationship and product lineup management.
Team Leadership & Development
- Build, mentor, and coach analysts and IT department to foster a data-driven culture within the company.
- Promote best practices in data analysis, ERP usage, and IT system optimization across departments.
Strategic Planning & Decision Support
- Participate in strategic planning sessions, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitors, and market developments to drive informed decision-making.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience in financial and sales data analysis.
- Advanced proficiency with Power BI, Business Central, Excel, and CRM software.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- Experience with large-scale national accounts, particularly in retail and horticulture, preferred.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of seven years of experience in data analysis, with at least three years in a management or leadership role.
- Previous experience working with large national accounts (such as Home Depot) and proven ability to drive sales growth through data insights.
- Experience in the horticulture or manufacturing industry is a plus.
