EXAMINATION PROCESS
(a) Training and Experience Evaluation:
If it is determined that your application meets the minimum requirements for this position, your application will be scored by a panel of subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Scoring will be based upon breadth of experience, scope and length of experience, responses to the Supplemental Questions, and general application appearance, (e.g., sentence structure, grammar, and spelling).

In-Basket Performance Examination utilizing Microsoft Office Suite 2010 Software.
For those passing the Performance Examination
(c) Structured Oral Interview - TBD
The oral interview will contain questions that assess technical knowledge and experience, and one's general fitness for successful performance in the position.
A total score will be computed using weighted scores on the performance and oral examinations. Applicants must receive a passing score on the oral examination to be placed on the eligibility list.
Under the general supervision of an assigned Assistant or Deputy Superintendent, performs varied, complex, highly responsible, and sensitive administrative and technical secretarial functions in support of the division operations; organizes office activities and coordinates the flow of communications on behalf of the designated administrator.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS BETWEEN RELATED JOB CLASSES
Positions allocated to the job class of Senior Administrative Assistant assume full responsibility for the administrative and secretarial duties in an Assistant or Deputy Superintendent's Office, where the scope of work is directly related to the functions of the assigned division. Positions allocated to the Administrative Assistant job class are assigned and perform administrative and secretarial duties in support of a single department administrator.
*This classification is designated as "Executive Secretary" pursuant to Education Code section 45272 and as such does not achieve permanent status.
**Position(s) in this job class are designated as Confidential per Government Code 3540, meeting exemption for representation by a collective bargaining unit.
