Job Summary:
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the general accounting functions, including performing monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings, developing financial reports, ensuring accuracy in financial documentation, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
- Prepare, analyze, and present financial statements and reports for management and external stakeholders
- Ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements
- Conduct variance analysis, identify trends, and recommend improvements in financial processes
- Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tax filing preparations
- Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external auditors
- Mentor junior accounting staff and support their professional development
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy and compliance in business operations
- Handle ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification strongly preferred
- Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accountant or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting standards, and accounting principles
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, etc.) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with financial audits and compliance requirements
