POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for the day-to-day accounting tasks for SFC as well as other owned entities. The position requires solid accounting experience combined with strong analytical skills. The Senior Accountant requires someone who is self-starting, energetic, and focused. This position will be a valuable role that helps support our mission of improving the health and economic vitality of the communities we serve.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- General accounting using online accounting systems for multiple entities with complex inter-company transactions
- Responsible for managing the monthly close process for the corporate entities
- Bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, variance analysis and financial statement preparation for review with the Chief Financial Officer
- Coordinate with other accounting staff on transactions with our managed venues
- Support preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasting
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer with the accounting oversight of our managed venues
- Other projects as directed by the Chief Financial Officer
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proficient with QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred
- Financial statement preparation and consolidation experience (Balance Sheet, Income Statement & Cash Flow)
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, as well as solid knowledge of accounting and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP & GASB), a CPA designation a plus
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience including general accounting, month-end close, account analysis, consolidation, and financial reporting
- Ability to perform several tasks concurrently with ease and professionalism
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing
- Must be able to keep company, client, and payroll information strictly confidential
- Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient with Excel, Outlook, and Word (Power BI experience a plus)
