Job Details
The Senior Accountant is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. This role involves analyzing financial records, regulating and authenticating financial transactions, maintaining the accuracy of accounting tasks, balancing accounts, and verifying bank statements.
Responsibilities:
Summarize and prepare financial status and transaction reports.
Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for significant accounting policies and processes.
Monitor budgets and forecasts.
Share responsibility for bank account reconciliations.
Prepare audit documentation and act as a point of contact with the audit team.
Organize documentation and procedures related to the monthly close process.
Collaborate with and support other departments by providing financial data and documentation.
Allocate revenue expenses between multiple entities through journal entries.
Proactively improve Finance Team processes and procedures.
Skills:
Significant experience in a senior accountant or similar role.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with accounting software packages (preferably Intacct).
Advanced Excel skills, including V-lookups and pivot tables.
Analytical skills combined with knowledge of accounting principles.
Ability to transition between tasks easily.
Education:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field.
Must be an outstanding communicator with established skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume environment.
Demonstrated ability to support other departments and coordinate training and information sessions.
