We are seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Senior Accountant to join our fast-paced finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting tasks and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
1. Manage and oversee all aspects of our financial systems, including general ledger, account reconciliation, and auditing.
2. Prepare and analyze financial reports, highlighting key trends and providing detailed insights to senior management.
3. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations through accurate tax preparation and timely submissions.
4. Manage cash flow, ensuring the company's financial stability and profitability.
5. Implement cost accounting procedures, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency gains.
6. Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring all employees are paid correctly.
7. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt payments and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and customers.
8. Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business decision-making.
9. Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial operations and improve financial performance.
10. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should have:
1. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or CPA certification will be an added advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the finance industry.
3. Proficiency in general ledger functions, account reconciliation, auditing, tax preparation, cash flow management, cost accounting, payroll processing, accounts payable & receivable, and financial modeling.
4. Strong analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to identify financial trends and anomalies.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
6. Strong leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing teams and fostering a positive work environment.
7. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
8. A strong commitment to ethical practices, confidentiality, and integrity.
9. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
