Senior Accountant - Ledgent Finance & Accounting

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our client's dynamic finance team on a 3-6 month temporary basis. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing accounting functions to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, compliance with regulations, and support of business operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and reports in accordance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Conduct variance analysis, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
- Assist with the preparation of tax filings, audits, and other compliance-related matters.
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and payment processing.
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank reconciliations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support business decision-making.
- Support ad-hoc projects and financial analysis as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA is a plus).
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, NetSuite, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with financial reporting, month-end close, and tax filings.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
