One of Vaco’s global logistics and supply chain clients is looking to onboard a Senior Accountant on the cash team as part of an ongoing project to scale up their accounting group. The company has gone through several large transitions in the last couple of years in terms of growth, systems and processes.
This Senior will be responsible for Revenue/COGS including 606 compliance, high-volume reconciliations, and tracking transactions (domestic and international.) Great opportunity for someone to come in with limited experience and potentially grow and learn a lot, get exposure to the international side of the business, understand those rules and regs, and learn how they do accounting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cash Management: Monitor daily cash balances and forecast cash flow requirements.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of cash transactions.
- Transaction Processing: Record and categorize cash transactions in the general ledger.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports related to cash activities.
- Internal Controls: Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies related to cash management.
- Audit Support: Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparation of documentation and response to inquiries.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, with a focus on cash management preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
