Senior Accountant (Part-Time)

The Opportunity:
We're seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is perfect for someone who understands and has worked in the hospitality industry and is comfortable in a startup environment. You'll work directly with the CFO to support the acceleration of our differentiated hospitality and distributive services portfolio companies, collaborating with top industry leaders.
What You'll Do:
- Review and process vendor invoices, including setting up new vendors in our bank and accounting systems
- Monitor payment schedules and ensure timely disbursements
- Drive month-end closing entries and account reconciliations
- Review, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts monthly to ensure accurate financial statements
- Prepare cash transactions such as wires, ACH, and transfers
- Conduct monthly inventory analysis
- Develop and analyze appropriate costing based on financial data
- Prepare and maintain monthly KPIs
- Manage customer invoicing, ensuring timely billing and payments
- Oversee cash receipts and research any disputes
- Support software implementations such as ERP and CRM
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance or equivalent work experience
- Hospitality/distributive services accounting experience is a plus
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
- Excellent MS Excel skills with the ability to manipulate and understand large amounts of data
- Proficiency in accounting software (experience with Sage Intacct is a plus)
- Knowledge of sales tax processes is beneficial
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to adapt and thrive in a dynamic, high-growth environment
- Experience with multi-location and multi-entity companies is advantageous
