Senior Accountant - Addison Group

Our client, a dynamic and innovative company based in Ventura County, operates within a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. The company prides itself on its brilliant professionals creating cutting-edge products. They are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team on an interim or interim-to-hire basis.

Key Responsibilities:

General Ledger (G/L) Accounting

• Lead and develop the accounting team during month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Oversee Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and Payroll functions
• Review all relevant entries, vendor payments, and intercompany transactions
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations
• Consolidate financial statements to produce an accurate corporate balance sheet

Revenue Accounting

• Review customer contracts and billings
• Ensure revenue recognition aligns with US GAAP
• Perform ASC 606 analysis
• Complete month-end duties including account reconciliation, deferred revenue calculations, accrual estimates, and revenue trend reviews

Financial Reporting

• Prepare balance sheet and P&L account analysis & reconciliations
• Manage cash flow and sales forecasting

Miscellaneous

• Maintain relationships with key stakeholders including lenders, insurance brokers, and vendors
• Perform ad hoc duties as needed

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Industry background in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer products
• Corporate General Ledger experience
• Knowledge of current GAAP standards
• Experience with intercompany accounting and sales tax

Preferred:

• CPA
• International exposure

Skills:

Technical:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (V-lookups, pivot tables, IF formulas)
• Experience with NetSuite

• Confident hands-on leader and mentor, with the ability to provide clear direction and guidance
• Detail-oriented with a high level of ethics and integrity
• Collaborative, outgoing, and able to manage multiple projects at once
• Quick learner with a strong aptitude for systems and technology
