Senior Accountant at Creative Financial Staffing

Our client is a leading nonprofit organization focused on ending homelessness and poverty in our community for a diverse range of individuals and is seeking a Senior Accountant. Conveniently located in midtown Manhattan, however the Senior Accountant will function on a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities for the Senior Accountant:

• Prepare journal entries and cost allocation schedules for program expenses
• Assist in the month-end close process and distribution of financial statements
• Assist with responding to audit information requests and prepare necessary schedules for external audits

Minimum Qualifications for Senior Accountant:

• Bachelors' degree in Accounting
• Non-profit experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and FASB standards for financial reporting
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
