Role Overview

Addison Group is seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our client's growing team. This role is pivotal to supporting financial operations across multiple locations and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage monthly and annual financial closing activities.
• Prepare timely, accurate financial statements in compliance with GAAP standards.
• Reconcile accounts and maintain closing schedules.
• Analyze data to address complex accounting challenges.
• Prepare and adjust general ledger entries while ensuring accuracy.
• Provide insights through research and interpretation of financial data.
• Assist with annual audit preparations and special projects as assigned.
• Oversee ledger account analyses to ensure data integrity.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (required).
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience (required).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (required).
• Strong technical accounting expertise (required).
• Willingness to travel weekly to Maryland (required).
• Familiarity with SAGE software (a plus).
• Professional communication and problem-solving skills.
