Job Summary and Responsibilities:POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for a detail-oriented senior accountant to perform and coordinate accounting duties within our organization. The senior accountant's responsibilities include preparing financial reports, performing account reconciliations, maintaining the general ledger, assisting with audit preparations, and performing other accounting duties as assigned.
To be successful as a senior accountant, you should have a solid working knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and IFRS, as well as strong financial analysis skills. The senior accountant should also possess strong Excel skills, be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to work with little to no supervision and perform under pressure.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Coordinating accounting functions for Circet USA (3 business units with multiple sub-bu’s and cost centers).
- Lead monthly close process, ensuring deadlines are adhered to while maintaining financial accuracy.
- Preparing financial analyses and reports.
- Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
- Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
- Assisting with annual audit preparations.
- Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of noncompliance.
- Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
Performing other accounting duties and special projects as required.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA/CFA certification preferred.
- Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in finance, accounting, or related roles, with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent understanding of financial principles, regulations, and accounting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365) and advanced MS Excel skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building high-performing teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
