We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who is ready to take on a key role within our Energy client. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where innovative ideas are encouraged and collaboration is a must. This position is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting, management accounting, and internal reporting. This position requires strong accounting knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements.
2. Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
3. Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
4. Manage monthly and quarterly close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
5. Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
6. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
7. Collaborate with other department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
8. Perform financial analysis and present findings to senior management.
9. Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.
10. Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
11. Use BlackLine software for financial automation, consolidation, and reconciliation.
12. Participate in corporate budgeting and financial planning.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
2. 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
3. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
4. Experience with creating financial statements.
5. Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
6. Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
7. CPA or CMA preferred.
8. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
11. Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks).
12. Experience with BlackLine software is a plus.
