Senior Accountant - Tandym

A recognized private organization in Compton, California is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their Accounting/Finance team in a temporary basis.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Accountant will:

• Analyze, control, project, and summarize financial data
• Prepare, supervise and reviews estimates of revenue, reimbursements, expenditures, fund conditions and other investments and budgetary appropriations
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, the bank accounts and cash receipts
• Audit cash and other general ledger account transactions
• Review and research accounting problems, developing and implementing problem-solving mechanism
• Prepare and post journal entries and closing entries
• Maintain accounting records for various accounts
• Prepare financial reports and statements
• Prepare the monthly expenditure and revenue report
• Monitor grant expenditures & capital improvement projects, prepare reports, and verify that grant requirements are satisfied
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of Accounting experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, and/or Finance
• Experience with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles for public or not-for-profit sector
• Working knowledge of Accounting software
• Solid analytical, mathematical, and research skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
