We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a full time role. This position plays a crucial role in our finance department, processing all invoices received for payment and undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner. The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant team that contributes to the growth and success of our innovative biotech organization. Responsibilities:
1. Manage the full cycle of accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment processing, and vendor management.
2. Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor files and account balances.
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure accurate and timely payment of all company expenses.
4. Prepare and present financial reports and analyses, including accounts payable aging reports, cash flow forecasts, and budget variance analyses.
5. Assist in the month-end closing process, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
6. Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounts payable processes, implementing best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
7. Coordinate with external auditors, providing necessary information and documents for annual audits.
8. Participate in special projects and ad hoc financial analyses as required.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role, preferably within the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industry.
3. Strong knowledge and understanding of accounts payable processes and systems.
4. Proven experience in financial forecasting and preparing financial reports.
5. Excellent cross-collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with various departments and levels within the organization.
6. Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software.
8. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
