Senior Accountant
Location: Metro Atlanta, GA (In-Office)
Compensation: Up to $100,000 annually, with a comprehensive benefits package, including 401k
Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our finance team at our Metro Atlanta office. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting practices and systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics, with solid experience in General Ledger (GL) maintenance, Month-End Close (MEC) processes, and 401k administration. This in-office position requires a dependable individual who can ensure the accuracy of our financial records and contribute actively to a collaborative, fast-paced work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
In-Office General Ledger Management: Manage, reconcile, and analyze general ledger accounts on-site, ensuring timely, accurate, and GAAP-compliant record-keeping.
Month-End Close (MEC): Lead all in-office month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries, adjustments, and financial statements within strict deadlines.
Financial Reporting: Compile financial reports and statements for leadership, providing in-depth insights on financial performance.
401k Administration: Manage 401k processes, including contributions, reconciliations, and regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to federal guidelines.
Compliance and Auditing: Prepare required documents and coordinate with internal and external auditors on-site to support audit processes and maintain compliance.
Process Improvement Initiatives: Identify in-office improvements for financial procedures and systems, enhancing the department's efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Senior Accountant role or similar
- Expertise in Microsoft Dynamics (required)
- Strong understanding and hands-on experience in GL, MEC, and 401k management
- Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory standards
- Exceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively within an in-office team environment
