Setting new standards for industrial process automation solutions in metropolitan New York City, Control Associates, Inc. is the premier provider of industrial process control systems, precision instrumentation, asset reliability, vibration analytics, Manufacturing Execution Systems, (MES), and data management solutions. We are looking to hire a Senior Accountant, and this role will be based out of our Allendale, NJ headquarters.
We are a well-established B2B Engineering firm located in Northern NJ, and due to growth and business success we are looking to hire a Senior Accountant to join our team. This seasoned professional will intellectually thrive within our business cycle, assisting in the optimization of the accounting process, will utilize our robust ERP accounting system and will post our Multi-Project Revenue precisely to the General Ledger.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee aspects of accounting in a highly successful B2B including the supervision of the General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Functions. Review account reconciliation from subledger to General Ledger.
- Oversee company's ledgers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with general accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Perform daily and monthly Bank reconciliations.
- Perform inter-company transactions within the accounting system.
- Prepare for audit and review.
- Record project revenue and work with project team on understanding project timing and cost.
- Prepare monthly inventory reports.
- Prepare payroll journal entry.
- Internal controls matrix, documentation, and internal testing.
- Calculate and timely file sales and municipal tax returns for multiple jurisdictions.
- Remit sales, municipal and corporate tax payments and maintain tax calendar
- Reconcile sales, municipal, and corporate tax accounts
- Learn IFS, our ERP tool, and assist with training other employees on IFS
- Process improvement initiatives.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in accounting with responsibilities including the general ledger and financial reporting is required.
- Public Accounting experience is preferred.
- Lead Accounting experience within a B2B required
- Excellent computer skills required, including prior experience with an ERP system, Advanced Excel, and experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Excellent analytical and meticulous skills required, with the ability to succeed as an individual, and at the same time excel in a team environment.
- Prior customer service experience including complaint resolution and problem solving required.
