Hello! Thanks for checking out our job posting for the role of Senior Account Executive at PerchPeek. You’ve already taken a tiny step towards being a part of our team—huzzah! We know that taking your next career step is as exciting as it can be exhausting. So, with that in mind, we’ve tried to keep our description simple and cliché-free to help you decide if PerchPeek and this role are a good match for you.
What is PerchPeek?
Have you ever relocated before? Did you manage to do it without eye rolling or swearing? Or if you haven’t ever relocated, how do you feel about the prospect of figuring it all out on your own? Finding a place to stay, shipping your stuff, organising utilities and new bank accounts…the list of things to organise goes on and on. No matter where in the world you go, relocating is a complicated and messy process. PerchPeek was conceived to change that.
Our aim is to guide people through every stage of their relocation with a delightful combination of tech, relocation coaching, content & partnerships, which work together to remove the stress and make moving simpler and faster.
The Role
The primary goal of this role is to increase the number of companies that use PerchPeek to help their employees relocate. We’re ramping up our Sales team to fuel the next phase of our growth and you’ll be a critical Perchy in helping develop & execute our playbook for working directly with enterprise clients.
More specifically, you’ll be responsible for:
Responsibilities
Whilst every role in a startup has a degree of flexibility over time, here is what we see as the role’s main responsibilities:
- End to end Sales execution: this role will seek to take prospects through the entire sales cycle, from generating leads to discovery conversations to business case development, negotiations with procurement, and contracting with clients. You’ll be expected to carry a quota of c. $900k (bringing in 2 new clients per month at c.$35k initial contract value, typically for clients with a headcount of 1000+ and 3-6 month sale cycles.)
- Playbook input: we’re still early in our journey of working directly with enterprise clients. We'll be counting on you to input high-impact tactics and strategies to help develop new ways of unlocking deals and pave the way for future AEs.
- Reporting & campaign building: we use HubSpot as our CRM - you’ll be responsible for maintaining best practices across your sequences, deal tracking and revenue recognition.
- Perchy evangelism: being a PerchPeek Ambassador and representing PerchPeek at events (online/offline, owned and external) and Sales calls.
- Collaboration with customer teams: we’re at the size where you’ll still be actively working with both our Relocation Coaches & Product teams to help enhance our product, establish the art of the possible & engage clients with our Roadmap.
Requirements
The type of person we think will be awesome at this will likely have the following range of qualities and experience:
- Target Driven: you’ve worked & thrived in a target driven environment, and been a consistently top performing Account Executive in your teams.
- Enterprise Background: track record of prospecting, negotiating and signing agreements with organizations of 1000+ employees.
- Relationship Builder: you’re a phenomenal people-person who is comfortable building relationships across a range of cultures and seniorities. You have a history of exceptional relationship building in B2B; you’re equally comfortable presenting to the Director of Talent of S&P 500 companies as talking to HR Managers about the details of an individual relocation.
- Business Case Development is Your Jam: you’re used to thinking strategically with enterprise clients to achieve win-win outcomes that align with their company goals. You’re not afraid to present and drive innovative ideas that push the status quo, nor challenge their existing thought patterns to teach them new ways of doing things.
- Multi-threader: you’re used to running full sales cycles (including outbound) with multiple stakeholders within enterprises, and have a demonstrated history of closing deals of $25k+ by running tight processes across several months.
- Collaborative: you love coordinating inputs from different teams across the business – in particular, working with marketing, product and operations to help develop our client offering.
- Fast Moving and High Energy: you love operating at speed and can produce a high volume of work to a consistently high standard.
- Curious to Learn: you’re curious to learn about Mobility and PerchPeek’s positioning in the industry.
Whilst not necessary, we’re especially interested in candidates with the below skills or qualifications:
- Experience working in an ambiguous and high growth environment, especially experience in a start up or scale up.
- Experience with consultative sell / managed services elements, especially into HR departments.
- Experience using the MEDDPICC framework.
- Tech orientated. Our technology is our main USP for growing accounts and you’re comfortable demonstrating & explaining it to people.
- Have a background in consulting, programme management or business operations.
- Fluent in English, but further languages are a huge plus! The more the merrier as you’ll be managing hugely international deals with team members in dozens of countries.
- If you’ve relocated before, terrific!
