Job Overview:
The Security and Safety Manager is responsible for developing and implementing security strategies and protocols to protect the company, including the corporate office, cultivation, manufacturing, and retail dispensary facilities, against threats, theft, vandalism and other security risks. The security and safety manager will evaluate existing security and safety policies, procedures, and training to ensure compliance with DHSS and OSHA. The Security and Safety Manager will be responsible for conducting emergency response drills, training and monitoring surveillance systems, and responding to security incidents promptly. In case of security breaches, they investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Knowledge and enforcement of building security and ability to act accordingly in various types of emergency situations.
- Ability to deal with and resolve problems in a professional manner.
- Conduct semiannual audits, assessments, and inspections of security measures to ensure compliance with DHSS and to identify any potential security issues and make any necessary adjustments.
- Onboard and train all employees and armed security guards on theft prevention, emergency response, use of force, crime scene protection, facility training, and classroom training within one (1) week of hiring and continuous training on an annual basis.
- Evaluating the credentials of any contractors who intend to provide construction or services to the facility before the contractor is hired by or enters a contract with the facility
- Manage company’s closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera system includes adding users, deleting users, reviewing camera footage, assisting with investigations and downloading footage when needed, troubleshoot issues and work with High Fidelity’s security consultant.
- Manage the company’s access control system and intrusion alarm system including adding users, deleting users, updating access permissions as needed, troubleshoot issues, and working with High Fidelity’s security consultants.
- Manage and update High Fidelity’s security and safety plan for each site.
- Conduct emergency response according to the company’s emergency response plan to assure all know their roles and responsibilities.
- Collaborate with internal departments, such as human resources and IT, to ensure compliance with security protocols and standards
- Maintain strong relationships with external partners, such as law enforcement agencies and security vendors, including armed guard contractors to enhance security capabilities
- Stay current with the latest security technologies, trends and regulatory requirements and
- make recommendations for enhancements to the security program.
- Assist with the development and implementation of companywide safety program including hazard identification and risk assessment, safety policies and procedures, training and education, incident reporting and investigation, emergency response, and inspections / audits.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certifications
- Minimum of 3 years of security service experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisor experience.
- Possess a High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). College graduates are preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation. Must be able to possess an Agent ID badge through the state of Missouri by the time of hire
