Position: Defense Security Enterprise (DSE) & Strategy Support
Duration: 2 year contract
Pay Rate: $50-$65/hr
Location: Arlington, VA – 5 days onsite
Clearance Level: Active Top Secret/SCI Clearance
Day to Day:
Insight Global is in search of a Defense Security Enterprise (DSE) & Strategy Support to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence & Security (OUSD(I&S)), Counterintelligence, Law Enforcement and Security Directorate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with DoD Components and the IC to update strategic and technical documentation on a regular basis, ensuring alignment with DoD and ODNI documents monthly.
- Providing daily and ongoing support to DSE project teams, managing activities, tracking progress, and balancing competing operational priorities.
- Facilitate collaborative sessions to elicit information about processes as required (approximately twelve occurrences per year), including policy development, rewrites, comment adjudication, formal coordination, and resource assessments.
- Support the development of responses to staffers, media, and interagency information requests and Congressionally Directed Actions
- Develop Action and Info Memos in conformance with OSD, OUSD(I&S), and local office requirements
Must Haves:
- Must have active TS/SCI Clearance.
- Knowledge of the DoD's personnel / vetting security functions to include personnel security manager responsibilities, investigations, and adjudication policies.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with DoD security policy development, rewrites, comment adjudication, formal coordination, and resource assessment (mentioned above in Job Requirements and/or Success Factors)
- Minimum of 1 year of operational experience like that of a staff action officer on an OSD, JCS, or Military Department headquarters staff, including support to senior executives or work within corporate headquarters environments.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience facilitating and coordinating updates to security policy, including comment adjudication.
- Experience coordinating effectively with the DoD Components, Agencies, and/or Intelligence Community stakeholders to resolve complex personnel security policy issues.
- Minimum of 2 years of demonstrated strong proficiency in supporting policy development, including writing and/or updating policies, SOPs, and/or instruction manuals including drafting, formatting, tracking, staffing, reviewing and reconciling against other entities’ policy documents to ensure security equities are accurately reflected.
Pluses:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 3 years of security policy or operational experience as a staff action officer on an OSD, JCS, or Military Department headquarters staff.
- 3 years of experience working with DoD, Intelligence Community, and national-level personnel security policies and procedures.
