About The Role:
On a routine basis, inspects grounds to ensure security requirements are met. Control and monitor access to building.
This job is part of the Security and Fire job function. They are responsible for the physical security and fire safety of the organization or other tangible assets.
What You'll Do:
+ Promote positive public relations by offering courteous service to all tenants, visitors, and guests while to their requests.
+ Coordinate all security on shift.
+ Ensure all information is logged for pass-on to the following shifts.
+ Assist in emergency situations (e.g., fire, evacuations, human crises).
+ Monitor and control the building's life safety system and central security panel and communicate any security issues to the client representative.
+ Maintain adequate coverage of the property posts.
+ May use electronic surveillance equipment.
+ Reports atypical situations to management.
+ Control access to buildings and monitors activities of visitors.
+ Monitor building operations.
+ May be required to enforce parking regulations and report fire and safety hazards.
+ Communicate with the Security Manager regarding events, incidents, or concerns.
+ Maintain daily logs and shift reports. Review reports and monitors performance.
+ Evaluate operating guidelines and practices and recommends improvements.
+ Gather and analyze data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent. May recommend new techniques.
+ Impact own team and other teams whose work activities are closely related.
+ Suggest improvements to existing processes and solutions to improve the efficiency of the team.

+ High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience with 3-4 years of job-related experience.
+ Meets local or national security staff certification requirements.
+ A comprehensive understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function is required.
+ Ability to evaluate and communicates unusual and/or complex content in a concise and logical way.
+ In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
+ Advanced organizational skills with an inquisitive approach.
