As the Security Officer stationed at our main entrance lobby, you'll be the face of safety and hospitality, greeting visitors and vendors with a friendly demeanor while vigilantly safeguarding our premises. Reporting to the Manager of Safety & Security, your role is pivotal in maintaining records, controlling identification, performing routine security rounds, and fielding phone inquiries. *This position requires an armed security license within the state of Tennessee.*
*This is a part-time position. Schedule is Saturday and Sunday from 6am-2:30pm CST or 2-10:30pm CST.*
Here's some of what you will be doing:
- Monitors and controls ingress/egress to facility through electronic and/or manual operations.
- Helps manage the access control system and monitors access control activity of the building to ensure maximum building security.
- Conducts frequent security rounds of the building and property to ensure that the security of the building is intact.
- Works with respected departments to assist in security escorting of artists, special guests, and event related items on the property.
- Ensures team members, contractors and visitors comply with procedures as specified in Purchase Card Industry (PCI) and Ministry policies.
- Responsible for issuing guest/visitor, temporary team member badges, contractor badges.
- Maintain all manual and electronic logs for visitors, vendors/contractors, and temporary team member badges.
- Prepares monthly reports involving the status/accounting and reconciliation of systems and processes utilized in the scope of position including:
- Camera logs (monitor available storage, camera problems)
- Badge access logs (accounting for badges issued, not returned, broken, etc.)
- Visitor logs (Reviewing to ensure filled out completely)
- Work jointly with the HR department in issuing, activating, and deactivating badges for team members.
- Implements Threat Response Protocol in the event of a threat to EMF property or personnel.
- Answers incoming security calls during business hours and redirects as appropriate.
- Monitors 90 plus security cameras to ensure proper functionality and reports malfunctioning cameras to the Manager of Safety & Security. Maintains audit log of monitoring activity.
- Monitors social media looking for threats that pertain to K-LOVE and Air1. Perceived threats are forwarded to the Manager of Safety & Security for review.
- Interprets and enforces security policies and procedures within the scope of job responsibility with little or no direction from direct supervisor.
- Work jointly with the Warehouse department to inspect any suspicious incoming mail for team member safety.
- May serve as a liaison for team member training of safety and security matters.
- Provide input in the development and implementation of procedures necessary for the efficient operation of the security team.
- Work on special projects as required.
- May occasionally be required to work overtime and off hours on special occasions.
Here's some experience we are seeking:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus a valid class C Tennessee Driver's License.
- Must be registered as an unarmed or armed guard for the state of Tennessee.
- 2-3 years prior work experience in a security assignment, dispatch center or working as a front lobby receptionist is preferred.
- Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with difficult situations that could involve either guests or EMF employees.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to be versatile and flexible. Regularly adapts to change while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to represent ministry professionally and maintain confidentiality.
- Investigative skills preferred.
