The schedule for this position is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Shifts are 12 hours currently 2pm to 2:30am, but are subject to change.
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision from the Supervisor of Security/Safety, the Security Officer I performs a variety of duties with regard to maintaining a safe and secure environment for residents, visitors and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel on the Glencroft campus. The incumbent will have a wide latitude for independent decisions and will exercise discretionary judgment. Must possess a genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to fluently communicate in or to take or give direction or guidance in the English language
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Regular attendance is considered an essential function of this position and is necessary for the efficient operation of the business.
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.
- Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
- Checks in all guests, residents, and staff as required and records all necessary information for entry to campus.
- Works with Security Officer II and Security Operator to properly monitor the campus
- Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls as needed.
- Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
- Required to attend the command center in the event of an emergency as requested.
- Perform other duties as required.
