Overview
We are seeking a skilled Residential Installation Technician to join our team. The Residential Installation Technician’s primary functions and responsibilities are to evaluate the customer’s needs, design, install, and educate the customer on the use of their system.
What are your key responsibilities?
- Work with the customer to determine what optimal system and equipment to meet their needs.
- Install and test the operations of all equipment to ensure proper functionality and signal reception required to establish service.
- Evaluate the information provided and work with the customer to provide the best possible solution for their location.
- Identify opportunities to improve the use and functionality of the customer’s system and provide those recommendations.
- Pursue safety practices to safeguard against injury and damage to property.
- Assure against loss of unused materials, ladders, and tools on a job site or office location.
- Collect all debris, patch any holes, and clean the site, leaving it as nice or in better condition than when it started.
- And any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission and abide by our organization’s values.
- Learn from assisting lead technicians in installations and maintenance of integrated systems based on industry approved guidelines, local codes, and standards.
Must Haves:
- Reliable Transportation (at least 4 door sedan but prefers 4 door SUV) & valid driver’s license.
- Must have all basic hand tools (screwdriver, drill, wire strippers, crimping tools, fish tape, wire puller, level/measuring tools, cable testers/multimeters, 6-8 ft ladder (little giant will be work).
- Must have CCTV experience
- Must have residential alarm installation experience
- Pulling and routing low-voltage cabling (CAT 5/6, coaxial, fiber, etc.).
- Mount and terminate access control devices (e.g., Readers, Door Contacts, REXs).
- Terminating cable and distribution frames.
- Troubleshooting cable infrastructure on residential electronic security projects.
- Networking/Programming (preferred)
Secondary Skills - Nice to Haves
- Technical, electrical or mechanical knowledge and abilities (Technical Aptitude)
- Troubleshooting
- FASA/BASA Certification (part if online training if they don’t have it)
- Programming/Networking
- AV (Audio Visual) Experience
- Upselling Experience

Job Type: Contract
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Rotating shift
Work Location: On the road
