Security Analyst (part-time) - CALIBRE

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned management consulting and digital transformation company, is lookingfor a highly motivated Security Analyst to join our team supporting a National Institutes of Health client. The candidate will provide System Security support including the design, development, and continuous security monitoring of specialized applications that support mission-critical scientific research activities.

The position is required on a part-time basis (10-20 hours/week) and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Serve as first line of contact with Federal ISSO to ensure smooth and timely integrations to comply with NIH security controls.
• Conduct security controls assessments by utilizing NIST Special Publication 800-53a and perform stakeholder interviews, examination of documentation and technical testing of the required security controls.
• Maintain and document security plans, contingency plans, compliance, safeguards, risks, milestones, security controls assessment, and understanding of inheritance, and other security artifacts as directed by NIH.
• Maintain the Authority to Operate (ATO), and other security compliancewith NIH security policies and procedures.
• Conduct security research in keeping abreast of latest security issues.

• Active Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP®) certification through the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium.
• Strong communication skills (verbal/written) to deliver insights and interpret data reports to the clients.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years’ experience.
• 5+ years of experience implementing enterprise security.
• Experience with NIH or another federal agency is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain a NIH Public Trust.
