Scientist, Regenerative Medicine - Connective Tissues at InVitro Cell Research, LLC
Leonia, NJ
About the Job
Connective tissues and the extracellular matrices of cells like fibroblasts hold our bodies together, contribute to systemic and organ failure with age, yet remain underappreciated in the field of aging biology. Our approach to studying aspects of connective tissue aging involves research into connective tissue disorders like Ehlers-Danlos Syndromes (EDS) and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders (HSD), which are themselves exacerbated with advancing age. We take multiple approaches to understand why connective tissues fail with age and how to repair and regenerate them.
With us, you'll get to:
- Synthesize a variety of experimental data streams to form testable ideas about the causes of various suspected connective tissue disorders
- Design and perform cutting-edge experiments with many human cell lines to solve connective tissue mysteries
Please apply if you have:
- An advanced degree in a biomedical sciences field with a demonstrated record of accomplishment in connective tissue disorders
- An in-depth understanding of pathobiology and genetics of connective tissue aging and connective tissue diseases including but not limited to Ehlers-Danlos, Hypermobile Joint Syndrome and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorders.
And you'll need:
- To have a friendly, easygoing personality
- The ability to work in the United States without sponsorship
