Job Description:
Platform EngineerDuration: 12 month contract with a strong possibility of conversion
Location: remote; client in Deerfield Beach, FL (occasional onsite travel may be required)
Apex Systems is supporting a large automotive client in Deerfield Beach, FL to find a solution-oriented Platform Engineer. This person will provide Tiers 2 and 3 support across many of the client’s heavily integrated infrastructure and application environments, including Salesforce, Cognos, Windows, and some DB2 and mainframe.
We are looking for someone who has managed complex enterprise platforms who can apply their knowledge to ongoing management and troubleshooting solutions. This person will be an expert at problem solving and will be excited to learn and grow in their new role.

- Cognos
- Windows
- Some DB2 and mainframe
- Very highly integrated environment
Duties
- A strong understanding of system integration is necessary
- Troubleshooting: where to dig, who to ask, how to research new solutions
- Tier 2/3 support and escalation of support to platform-specific personnel
- Lots of collaboration with other Administrators across various platforms/systems
- Some hands-on configuration
- Work closely with the new Architect to do health checks and run Optimizer
- Comb through release notes and conduct impact analysis
- Update and patch
- Windows server, Azure, Active Directory, .Net
