Summary:
We are seeking a Sales & Marketing Support Engineer to provide technical, engineering, and administrative support to the Sales & Marketing team. Reporting to the Area General Manager, this role will maximize team efficiency while offering a pathway to grow into an outside Sales Engineering role managing national or international accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support:
- Deliver and present technical presentations to customers, partners, and investors.
- Assist in product selection, sizing, and system design based on customer needs.
- Support customer visits with product demonstrations and education on technical features.
Sales & Marketing Support:
- Respond to customer inquiries and schedule sales meetings.
- Prepare sales proposals, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate on sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
- Coordinate with R&D, Product Development, and Manufacturing for project-specific technical requirements.
- Maintain and update the sales team’s library of product documentation and literature.
Administrative Tasks:
- Record customer interactions, sales activities, and proposals in Salesforce.
- Ensure up-to-date customer and contact details using tools like ZoomInfo.
- Assist with sales pipeline and performance reports.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and field service teams for timely delivery of products and services.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Sales Support, Sales Engineering, or Project Support in the HVAC industry (exceptional candidates with less experience may be considered).
- Familiarity with specifying and selling commercial HVAC products and reading MEP drawings and specifications is a plus.
- Interest in growing into a nationwide Sales Engineering role.
Skills and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Salesforce.
- Self-motivated and organized with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable presenting to large audiences.
