Sound Specialists is seeking a Salesperson/Sales Engineer who who embodies the qualities of hard work for exceeding expectations. In this role, you'll take charge of engaging with new prospects while also nurturing existing customer relationships to ensure optimal renewal rates and high levels of customer satisfaction. Responsibilities:
- Manage all technical aspects of the RFP/RFI responses
- Prospect and qualify leads to generate new business opportunities within the residential (and commercial) markets
- Conduct consultative sales meetings with clients to understand their audiovisual needs and recommend tailored solutions in order to Identify, enroll, and activate smart home products and solutions that best fit the needs of our residential customers
- Collaborate with design engineers to plan, prepare, and execute on strategic deals in complex sales cycles
- Collaborate with the design and installation teams to create comprehensive proposals and project plans that meet client requirements
- Prepare and deliver presentations, product demonstrations, and proposals to effectively communicate the value proposition of Sound Specialists' products and services
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close sales and achieve revenue targets
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and project status using CRM software (Salesforce)
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, product developments, and competitive landscape to effectively position Sound Specialists in the market
- Successfully match customer pain/requirements to proposed solutions
- Review bids to ensure accuracy to meet company and customer objectives
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of residential smart home integration sales experience
- Strong knowledge of audiovisual technology, including home theater systems, smart home integration, commercial audiovisual solutions, and soundproofing
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify leads, and close sales in a competitive market
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding sales targets
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales productivity tools
- Solid technical background with sound understanding and/or hands-on experience in smart home programming, installation and design
- Excellent presentation and creativity skills (an outside the box thinker)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A self-motivated, tech savvy individual driven to succeed
