The Role:
As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the sales of our products according to our strategic plan. You will be supported by a dedicated Sales Support Coordinator and local logistics coordinator, who will assist with quotations and order processing. Additionally, the Sales Support Coordinator will conduct market research, analysis, and lead generation activities.
Your primary objective will be to realize our commercial plan and growth objectives per the approved Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set forth in our strategic plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with our company's vision and goals.
- Translate the chosen strategy into operational plans, processes, and tactics for successful implementation.
- Direct, supervise, and coach the sales team throughout the implementation process.
- Report progress and provide valuable insights to the management team.
- Advise on the hiring and development of new sales staff.
Policy and Strategy Development:
- Collaborate with the President and colleagues to coordinate ideas and practices for the sales strategy.
- Work closely with the marketing and product management departments to translate market needs into effective marketing materials, campaigns, and assortment optimizations.
- Draft, distribute, and coordinate periodic reports on sales performance, margins, order intake, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities.
- Analyze and research relevant internal and external developments, proposing strategies for expanding markets, customer segments, products, and services.
Network and Relationship Management:
- Maintain and build a global network related to our organization's strategy, standards, and values.
- Conduct customer visits to strengthen relationships and understand their needs.
Account Management:
- Acquire leads and quotation requests through networking, customer visits, and proactive outreach to existing and new customers.
- Identify customer needs and translate them into clear requests that describe their situation, goals, requirements, wishes, and needs.
- Manage customer expectations and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Provide complete information for the preparation of quotations and transfer it to the Design team.
- Determine the strategy and tactics for projects, ensuring the achievement of agreed-upon goals (solution chosen, technical quality versus costs, delivery time, costs, and customer satisfaction).
- Cultivate potential clients and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, and influencers.
- Conduct price negotiations on all projects, escalating to the President in case of discussion points.
- Negotiate discounts and follow up on customer quotations (presentation and follow-up).
- Establish and communicate pricing policies related to discounts, delivery terms, payment arrangements, etc., often on a project-by-project basis, in consultation with the President.
Promotional Activities:
- Attend and actively participate in critical seminars, lectures, presentations, etc.
- Co-organize and participate in events for lead generation and relationship management.
Marketing:
- Work the market in a planned and structured manner, maintaining relationships (contacts, contracts, network management, appointments).
- Stay updated on developments (e.g., construction activities) through internet searches, network meetings, and reading trade magazines.
- Position yourself as a knowledge carrier and industry leader by actively contributing to marketing activities and giving presentations (at trade fairs, with clients, network meetings, etc.).
- Provide feedback to the organization regarding service and product development opportunities.
- Identify growth markets within the United States.
Other Responsibilities:
- Ensure continuous process optimization and promote knowledge transfer within the team.
- Organize and promote knowledge-sharing activities.
Qualifications:
