Objective:
The Sales Engineer's objective is to increase Service Sales for the Fives Steel division in the North American market. This is to be achieved by determining the most effective sales strategy to promote and sell the Fives thermal products to our North American customers.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Responsible for managing every aspect of the company's relationships and dealing with our customers. Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers through regular visits
•Lead negotiations with customers until the contract is finalized
•Responsible for growing the existing customer base by initiating meetings to present proposals to our customers.
•Work with the customer and the Fives Steel team to determine the solution that addresses the customer's needs and objectives.
•Work with the team to develop the technical documentation (technical specification, layout, scope of supply) to determine the best solution and develop the commercial proposal
•Participate in the elaboration of the Sales strategy in line with Fives Group's strategy and company
Business Strategy
•Analyze the market and prospect for sales opportunities.
•Participate in conferences, Technical Committees, Internal Seminars, and others.
•Prepare or modify presentations for specific meeting needs and public presentations.
•Support head office sales efforts preparing trip and accompanying head office sales team during sales visits.
General Requirements:
This position requires a motivated, decisive individual with the ability to work within schedule constraints with minimal supervision in the office as well as while traveling. You must work well in project teams and can communicate technically with other team members and explain technical information and concepts to our customers. In addition, the following traits are desired:
•Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or an equivalent combination of a related discipline and experience
•5+ years of sales and/or engineering experience preferably in the field of thermal processes or industrial furnaces
•Excellent sales and customer service skills with proven negotiation skills.
•Must be disciplined and deadline oriented.
•Able to manage priorities and work independently.
•Able to manage several sales projects and work in a fast-paced environment with tight schedules and deadlines is a must.
•Able to work collaboratively with employees of all levels within the organization.
•Available to travel 50-60% of the time throughout North America
