Job Description
Select’s Account Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining executive level relationships with our customers. Strong prospects and customer relationships will be necessary within operations management and supply chain, both at the corporate and regional levels. In addition to selling to prospects, this position will also have responsibility for relationship management and up-selling once the prospect becomes a customer.
The essential job functions include, but are not limited to
- Match Select technology with prospective and current customer needs by demonstrating an understanding of customer’s business.
- Effectively communicate how Select’s value proposition fulfills the customer’s needs.
- Provide pro-active account management.
- Establish and maintain a high-level of customer satisfaction.
- Increase revenue and profitability by executing sound sales plans.
- Conduct maintenance calls to improve service and profitability.
- Acquire in-depth industry and company knowledge to prepare complex new business proposals and make service recommendations.
- Support region/business line goals as a subject matter expert and deliver an account strategy for each account.

Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:
- 5-10 years of selling in engineering, leadership and supply chain management.
- Strong relationships with supply chain and operations leadership within the Oil and Gas industry.
- Ability to work across multiple decision makers at both the corporate and field levels.
- Strong chemical/technical background is considered a plus.
- Track record of successfully articulating how a value proposition fulfills the customer’s needs.
- Ability to close deals with a long sales cycle.
- Competent contract negotiator and contract manager.
- Ability to work in a team environment, gain business and grow revenue base.
- College degree preferred.

Physical Demands and Exposures
- This position works inside a climate-controlled environment. The Company will supply adequate training and equipment to perform the functions of the job.
- Traditional Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm, unless operations dictate otherwise.
- Involves sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
- Needs high degree of concentration in a busy area.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
