About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Sales Representative to join our team. In this role you will serve as the point of contact between HCI Systems Inc. and its prospects or clients and have a range of responsibilities including identifying and educating prospective customers while supporting existing clients with information and assistance that relates to our products and services.
COMPENSATION: $60,000-$300,000/YR
Primary Responsibilities:
- Present, promote and sell HCI products and services to prospective customers.
- Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships to ensure future sales.
- Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction.
- Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule.
- Be responsible for identifying customer needs and developing strategies to meet company sales objectives.
- Find and establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers by scheduling sales calls.
- Follow up on leads, utilizing HCI Systems marketing strategies.
- Develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company product offerings.
- Develop financial justifications, perform takeoffs, prepare estimates and proposals, make presentations, and perform the necessary follow-up for a successful closing of the sale.
- Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments.
- Maintain established accounts through regular customer contact in pursuit of follow-up sales.
- Participate in trade shows, special product demonstrations, and other events with the objective of increasing sales and enhancing the company’s image.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor ‘s degree in marketing, business, or engineering preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Ability to quickly identify and qualify opportunities.
- High degree of self-discipline with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced corporate environment.
- Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
- Experience working with electrical contractors, general contractors, consultants or end users, ability to read construction blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable.
- Must have excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated, success driven, have strong organizational and negotiating skills, a multi-tasker, reliable, self-determined and have excellent follow-up skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
- Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
- Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.
Preferred Experience Desired:
- Minimum of 3 years successful sales experience in electronics or similar industry.
- Knowledge in Fire Alarm, Security, Nurse Call or Special Hazards Suppression Systems, or other related low voltage systems.
- Experience working with electrical contractors and end users, ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams desirable.
Compensation Rage: $60,000-$300,000
