Randall Construction is currently seeking a top-tier Safety Administrator to work in our headquarters in Apopka, FL and then to transition into an entry-level Safety Specialist working on projects across Central Florida and the Space Coast. Position Summary
At Randall, the Safety Administrator will play a vital role in supporting the Safety Department by performing administrative tasks, managing safety-related systems, and assisting in creating a safe work environment. This position is designed to provide a pathway to transition into the role of a Safety Specialist 1, with ongoing training and development in safety protocols and procedures.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with office personnel and various departments. They will be trained in safety practices and systems to support their growth into a more advanced safety role.
Essential Functions
· Administrative Support
- Perform data entry for safety records, training logs, and incident/accident reports.
- Create and manage Excel spreadsheets for tracking safety metrics, compliance reports, and inventory.
- Generate and process purchase orders for safety equipment and supplies.
- Conduct periodic inventory management of safety materials and equipment.
· Collaboration with Departments
- Develop a strong working knowledge of office personnel and departmental structures.
- Act as a liaison between the Safety Department and other departments to coordinate safety-related needs.
· Safety System Management
- Manage the SAFETY 101 application under the direction of the Safety Director.
- Input and update data for audits, incident reporting, training logs, and compliance tracking.
- Troubleshoot application issues and communicate with vendors or IT as necessary.
· Training Development
- Assist in creating and organizing training courses as specified by the Safety Director.
- Compile training materials, schedules, and documentation for in-person and digital sessions.
· Safety Development
- Participate in ongoing training to become familiar with OSHA standards, hazard identification, and workplace safety practices.
- Support the Safety Director in conducting audits, inspections, and safety meetings.
· Other Duties as Assigned
- Support various safety-related initiatives and projects as directed by the Safety Director.
Desired Qualification Requirements
- High School Diploma required.
- Familiarity with safety practices / OSHA regulations is a plus.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) data entry, etc.
- Professional image/presentable.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Communication skills (can speak to people in a professional environment.)
- Time conscious (can be on time and efficient).
- Teachable (self-teachable, willing to go out and find knowledge that they need.)
- Competent and efficient with basic Mathematics.
- Willingness to complete ongoing training in timely basis
- Demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.
- Ability to pass drug screen and reference check.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Physical Requirements
This is primarily a Shop or Field Jobsite job. You must be able to lift a dead weight of at least 50 pounds and stand on your feet for several hours at a time. , be able to respond quickly to sounds, see and respond to dangerous situations, and properly wear personal protective gear.
