Objectives of this Role:
- Primarily responsible for System Administration of windows and Linux systems in support of division operations and customer contract requirements on project based deliverable systems.
- In a Classified environment, serving as a System administrator, providing role-based separation and maintaining the Integrity, Availability and Confidentiality of the overall environment though continuous monitoring principles.
- Maintain existing infrastructure and systems through patch management and vulnerability detection and remediation.
- Maintain complete and accurate documentation.
- Local year-round student.
Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:
- Provide effective System Administration for division and project Windows and Linux servers and end user workstations and the related tools and equipment.
- Analyze technological solutions and propose innovative approaches to systems administration in support of overall Division IT operations.
- Document the security protection boundary of the Division/Project systems in accordance with NIST 800 series standards.
- Maintain the systems in accordance with the defined and developed System Security Plan through continuous monitoring principles.
Requirements:
- Must be pursuing a Bachelors degree in Cybersecurity and/or IT or directly related fields.
- 0 years: Must have a CompTIA Security+ certification.
- 0 years: Familiarity or interest in C++, Python, or JavaScript programming
- 0 years: Strong language skills (both written and verbal), strong understanding of networking concepts, Familiarity with security principles and practices, and Knowledge of operating systems (windows/Linux).
- A valid/clear driver's license is required.
