About the Job
Major Focus: Develop and launch new products to meet customer’s needs using innovative design, engineering and manufacturing methods. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Execution: Manage multiple projects concurrently with safety as a priority, thorough completion of all necessary documentation and proactive communication of project risks. 2. Subject matter expert (SME): Be the internal SME for all Semiconductor development opportunities and the external “face of Mott” for key customers. 3. Qualify New Products: Lead projects to design, build and qualify new filters, diffusers, and flow control devices, etc. per customer specific and semiconductor industry standards. 4. Win new business: Support or lead commercial team in pre-sale calls, build credibility and relationships with customer contacts, write project proposals for Engineered Solutions projects and close business. Major Challenges: 1. Customers and vendors lack understanding and standards pertaining to porous metal. 2. Understanding technical benefits and limitations of new and novel filtration and flow control products produced by Mott. 3. Understanding the differences in platforms and qualification processes of each major Semiconductor customer. 4. Transferring qualified, repeat product to Production. 5. Working with industry leaders who continuously challenge established norms. 6. Navigating a rapidly growing organization. Expected Performance Outcomes: 1. Deliver projects totaling $2 - 3MM per year with OTOC >85%. 2. Transfer 3 new designs to Production annually. 3. Maintain project costs within 10% of estimated budget. Required Experience: 1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial or Material Science Engineering 2. 7+ years industry specific experience. Knowledge of Semiconductor Qualification Processes is preferred. 3. Can provide evidence of successful project management. 4. Experience in product development is preferred though not required. Technical Knowledge/Skills: 1. Mastery of industry specifications, quality programs, systems, processes and design considerations. 2. Expert level understanding of filtration, compaction, sintering, welding, design of machined parts and design for manufacturability. Including GD&T, 3D modeling and 2D drawing requirements. 3.
