SQL Server DBA/Power Platform Developer

Redan LLC is looking for an SQL Server DBA/Power Platform Developer to be part of a growing team in the federal sector.

As the SQL Server DBA/Power Platform Developer you will continue progress in the full development lifecycle of various projects as needed. Additionally, you will support existing department processes such as DataBak, Color Teams, phone directories and custom applications for business users. The ideal candidate must be deeply experienced in SQL Server Database development, maintenance, administration and have proficiency in all Power Platform products, ETL and database schemas.

This is an ON-SITE position in Gaithersburg, MD 20878.  After the first month of work a hybrid schedule arrangement will be considered by the customer. Duration is one year with the likelihood of extension.

The candidate should possess a strong desire to automate and create infrastructure-as-code solutions in a DevOps environment.

What You'll Be Doing

As the SQL Server DBA/Power Platform Developer at Redan, you will:

• Maintain existing databases and related data processes and applications and support the development of new applications.

• Develop databases and write, test, document and install program code.

• Participate in testing, auditing, validation and Statistical Reporting, and coordinate with users to obtain feedback on delivered products and services.

• Prepare a variety of documentation, including but not limited to design, technical and functional specifications, workflow diagrams, requests for proposal/estimate, defect description reports, software evaluations, policies and procedures, and training guides. specifications, policies, procedures, and training materials

• Upgrade and migrate and rehost databases and applications onto newer technologies.

• Design and implement new data sources and processes as dictated by requirements.

• Need to adapt to new technologies rapidly.

Profile of Success

Required

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related fields.

• 2+ years of demonstrated hands-on experience and advanced knowledge of: SQL Server views, stored procedures, scheduled jobs, and database backups.

• 2+ years of experience writing, debugging, and testing PowerShell, SQL, and CMD scripts.

• 1+ year of experience with:

• ETL of XML, Excel, and CSV files.

• Creating and supporting PowerApps applications and PowerAutomate flows in production use.

• Creating and supporting Power BI visualizations, reports, apps, and dashboards.

• Experience enforcing role-based security using Active Directory.

• Experience integrating SQL Server, SSRS, Oracle Database, Active Directory, UKG Workforce TeleStaff, SharePoint, and Power Platform technologies.

• Experience developing automated processes for employee directory services.

• Demonstrated creative use of data-driven techniques in disaster recovery.

  Desired

• Experience working with the Maryland State Automated Crash Reporting System (ACRS) data schema.

Conditions of Employment

• US Citizenship is required.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or related field.

• A minimum of 2+ years' position-related experience is required.

• Must be available to work on-site in Gaithersburg, MD
