We are seeking an enthusiastic Subject Matter Expert (SME) Technical Trainer to craft and deliver cutting-edge technical curriculum encompassing industrial, agriculture, and food manufacturing concepts.
As part of the Technical Training team, you’ll collaborate with passionate colleagues who share your dedication to fostering learning and growth. Through these hands-on lessons, you’ll equip individuals with practical skills that will lead to rewarding careers with Wonderful and our partners in California’s Central Valley.

This position is based in Shafter, CA and will require travel throughout the Central Valley (e.g. Bakersfield, Delano, Lost Hills, and Del Rey).
Job Description- Develop technical training programs tailored to organizational needs, including creating teaching schedules and curriculum.
- Design engaging course content utilizing creativity and diverse teaching methods.
- Independently deliver advanced training modules, customize curriculum plans for clients, and conduct on-site teaching sessions.
- Maintain records on course completion, absences, and issues, while evaluating program effectiveness and suggesting improvements.
- Utilize CAD software for training diagrams and read and create schematic diagrams.
- Utilize professional digital camera for multimedia content creation and employ various software for video and audio editing.
- Develop content within the corporate Learning Management System (LMS) platform.
- Coach and mentor new Technical Trainers and interns.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or Associate degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial automation, controls engineering, or another technical major.
- If you don't have a degree, a minimum of 5+ years of work experience in the areas indicated below.
Experience Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a lead role within Operations, Agriculture, or a Technical Field required
- Knowledgeable of agricultural machinery, crop management techniques, or technical systems used in the food manufacturing and agriculture industry. Certifications or training received related to these technical skills strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Strong communication skills, adept at presenting to groups
- Advanced knowledge in electrical, industrial technology, or technical fields
- Proficiency in modern technical training techniques and tools (AutoCAD, Ignition)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required
- Familiarity with learning management systems, Camtasia, or Audacity a plus
- Ability to travel up to 50%
Pay Range: $70,000 - $80,000 and may include a discretionary bonus. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
